Waking up to the timeless beauty of Lake Chuzenji, with the majestic Mount Nantai rising beyond my terrace, is one of those rare travel moments that lingers long after you’ve left. At @ritzcarltonnikko , nature isn’t just the backdrop, it becomes part of the experience.
I stayed in the Lake Chuzenji View Suite, an expansive retreat of approximately 100 sqm featuring a separate living room, a spacious bedroom, two toilets including a guest powder room, and a panoramic terrace overlooking one of Japan’s most breathtaking landscapes. Floor-to-ceiling windows blur the line between indoors and outdoors, filling every corner with light and the serenity of Nikko.
One of my favorite moments? Enjoying an indulgent in-room breakfast on the terrace, surrounded by nothing but the tranquil lake, fresh mountain air, and the ever-changing scenery. It’s the kind of luxury that reminds you to slow down and truly appreciate where you are.
Whether soaking in the bathtub with lake views, sipping coffee as the morning mist drifts across the water, or simply embracing the silence, every moment here feels restorative.
