- Rang the Nasdaq opening bell with the F5 team yesterday, marking 30 years as a tech company.
30 years is rare duration in this industry, and it’s earned. It’s earned by the teams and people who show up and do the work every day. This is recognition of them, and a celebration of them.
A personal note: in the early 2000s, Denise and I watched the opening bell from the Cutler Center at Babson, wondering who those people on the podium were. Yesterday I got my answer.
Grateful to stand among awesome people and wonderful partners. It’s Saturday morning back in Seattle, and it’s time to get back to work.

- August 2025 in Maui with Denise, Kara, and Isla. We drove without maps to chase the light. We turned the pool into a theater for Moana 2. We ate until we regretted it. We hiked Haleakala because it was there, not for the checklist. I shot the whole trip on an aging iPhone. It forced me to be present. A 200-page book of the best photos arrives in January. 🏝️

- ...and 9 months later, we’re parents! Her name is Kara and she’s our first cuddle monster 👶. She was born early but is catching up quickly. The last few weeks have been a blur and we owe a big thanks to both of our families for being incredibly supportive and awesome 👏. Everyone is doing well over here...we’re just very sleep deprived. Oh, one more thing: I’m gonna start a podcast called Dad Pod! #kiddingnotkidding 😂
