- My second attempt at @utct UT100 ... and success! A beautiful and brutal experience rolled into one: I appreciated the privilege and the agony of being able to freely move my body through God’s awesome mountains and creation. As always, I am extremely thankful for all the support: @arlinebr, who has a greater belief in my abilities than I have, her soft prayer in my ear while I felt sorry for myself and just her hand on my shoulder while I was vomiting in the foetal position! @carpenter.alan, for his encouragement along the way, his positivity and readiness to help, and, of course, @nielstander for ably motivating me all the way from the UK. @allistermccreadie, thank you for the surprise check-in at Alphen Trail. @dreyermh, thank you for deciding to also be my crew at the UCT aid station, for that coffee that gave me the lift I needed and even a comfy spot at the end. @tarrin.vn, your guidance leading up to this race has set me up for success despite all the rookie mistakes I made. The last 10kms we conquered together was a special experience. @vertanddirt
